Candle Care
Please follow these safety tips when lighting/ burning your candle.
- Trim your wick to 1/4'' before each and every burn. This ensures that your flame does not smoke, flicker too much or rise too high.
- When burning for the first time, the candle needs to burn for 2-3 hours in order to achieve full melting pool. A full wax pool prevents tunneling, which is excess wax build up on the side of your vessel.
- NEVER leave a burning candle unattended.
- Keep your candle out of reach of children and pets.
- NEVER burn your candle near anything that is flammable.
- Always place your candle on a stable, heat resistant surface .
- Keep lit candles away from drafts.
- NEVER burn your candle all the way down. Always leave 1/2 inch of wax in the bottom of the vessel.
- NEVER touch or move a burning candle when the wax is liquid.
- NEVER use water to extinguish your candle.
Should I trim my wicks? Yes, your wicks should be trimmed before every burn. If your candle wick is too long it can cause improper burning, smoking, and blacken the sides of your vessel. We recommend trimming to 1/4 inch using a wick trimmer. However if a trimmer is handy, any pair of house hold scissors or nail clippers will work.
